The New Album Is Coming Together, Slowly
by Karen W. on Apr.11, 2011, under Albums, News
It’s been a slow process since we released our last album back in 2008, yes folks it was that long ago! There have been many stops and starts on the new album and this seems to be the toughest one that we’ve ever worked on, even the soundtrack wasn’t this hard!
I think most of the pressure comes from the fact that after the success of previous work, it’s hard to try and top the albums and have a new release that will be as popular.
But we keep going and though you may not of seen or should that be heard any new material from us, let me assure you that there is plenty, some we don’t like and some we’ve put to one side for the next release.
So keep listening and watching for more news coming your way very soon.

by Karen W. on Apr.08, 2011, under General
Ok Remergence fans, we’re trying something a little new with this post. To enable us to update this blog a little more frequently, we have decided to give the WordPress app for BlackBerry a shot.
So hopefully we can keep you all posted a little more with what’s going on and where it’s happening, so in the near future some posts will be a tad shorter, a bit like this one, and will be updating you with the latest news.

Album Review: Psychosis by The Peach Tree
by Karen W. on Mar.06, 2011, under General
Both JJ and I have been listening to The Peach Tree (@gamoneterik) for such a long time now and when I got an invitation to an event on FaceBook the other day, I just couldn’t resist downloading the album Psychosis by The Peach Tree and bring you a review, why a review on our official blog? Well we’ve not got much news to bring you so why not bring you a review of an artist we know, we may even bring you some more soon
Released in late 2007, “Psychosis” is a hectic 12-track piece of electronica mayhem, delving into the furthest corners of a troubled mind. Straight from the get-go the album starts to deal with complicated issues, smoothly masked by a fun, pumping sense of energy and entertainment. The opener “Hard Drug Abuse” not only kicks off the album but introduces one of the main themes: drugs and their affect on the human psyche.
There is a lot of stigma about mental illness, most people don’t even know what psychosis is, let alone understand it. The album explores various facets of the disease as experienced by the artist, ranging from moments of complete depression (such as the lyric “Every day I wake up I wish I was dead.” from “Psychosis (Episode Two)”) to spontaneous, warped humour (“Doctor Seuss Or A Sheep?”), and the questioning of reality (“All This Is Real (I Hope)”), yet still maintaining a look at the positive side of things (“Everybody Get Up And Fuckenndance (Cos This Is MDMA)!”).
The brain is an organ like any other part of the body, and can be broken as easily as you can break your arm, most commonly by overindulgence in mind-altering substances. The difference is that no one can see a broken brain, and it’s not as easy to announce “my brain is injured” as “my arm is injured”. This album is an exploration and expression of the mental disease that is psychosis, and is a true journey from start to finish.
Everyone’s own reality is based upon perception, which is the result, amongst other things, of a series of connections in the brain. If those connections are misplaced, crossed or tangled, perception changes and thus the individual reality changes.
The Peach Tree’s attempt to express this is not only deep and meditative but energetic, frenetic, fun and pounding.
That’s direct from the album listing, just to let you know a little about the album
So on to the review:
Right from the very start this album is just one of those that is grasping at your ear buds and saying I’m going to bring you some music that your ears and mind have been waiting for and it just doesn’t let you down, great beats, awesome base and a flow that can only be described as one of pure controllable electronica.
Track one “Hard Drug Abuse” is so techno happy that the vocals on the track are entwined into the very heart of the track and not only have the task of being lyrics, but as a matter of fact they become part of the actually heart of the track.
Then it’s on to track two “Valium And A Fireplace” brilliant title and yet again another brilliant track, great sounds, crystal clear and just wanting to be played more, of which it will be believe me.
“Psy Vampires” just continues the trend of this album and so do the rest of the tracks of the album, it’s such an amazing feet to produce an album which doesn’t have fillers and each track is an enjoyable track to listen to.
I really can’t fault this album and to be honest I think The Peach Tree has done an awe inspiring bit of work on Psychosis, but don’t take my word for it, get a copy of this album and give a few damn good listens

The Problems With Our RSS Feed Have Now Been Fixed
by Karen W. on Feb.21, 2011, under News
Time constraints lately haven’t allowed us to sort the problem that we had with the RSS feed for the blog, but after a little spare time yesterday, they have now been corrected.
It seems that one of the plugins was causing a problem with the feed and not allowing it to be viewed or even pulled on to most RSS feed readers, so we spent a while checking code and widgets to try and solve the problem.
After a while we decided to deactivate all the plugins and then only reactivate ones which we use more so than others, suffice to say the Remergence Blog Feed is now up and running, it has been checked with an RSS validator and it is ok. So to those that have been having problems subscribing or even reading the feed then hopefully this will solve your problems.
A big thank to everyone who has let us know the problem
