Music Trends and Genres! We Have Our Own!
by Karen W. on Sep.30, 2010, under News
It goes to say that choosing the right genre of music or even being in the correct musical trend helps with the sales of music!
Over the years we’ve been producing our own style of music and have noticed that there seems to be a particular trend of music that sells more than others and it seems to be the trusted old guitar based music or pop music.
Having music that doesn’t fit in a specific genre that fits in the musical trends of the music listening public does make it that little bit harder to hit the big time. Though we would like to make a fortune from our music, who wouldn’t
So should we bow down to the masses of the music trending world and produce that same music that other do just to sell tracks!
HELL NO!
We like been in our own musical world and that’s why we produce the way we do and to be honest we really working together on our madness
So for those thinking that the next album will “conform” to the standards of the music business, then you’ll be pleased to know it WON’T and we are doing something a little different, but we aren’t going to be the same as everyone else, if we did, then you wouldn’t know us from any other “manufactured” band out there.
“Sheep” the new album will not conform to anything except the Remergence way of life
Tracking Down Some Sheep!
by Karen W. on Sep.16, 2010, under News
It’s been a tough one, who’d of thought it could be so hard finding a sound sample of some sheep!
Over the last few weeks we tried recording our own sound FX, but they just weren’t good enough and most of the sample on the net are only a couple of seconds long.
Then lo and behold we found some on a website called The FreeSound Project, OMG, there are loads of samples that can be used and all we have to do is mention the originator of the sample in the sleeve design, now that sounds good to me.
So finally we managed to get a brilliant clear and crisp sound of some sheep and it’s not just a couple of seconds it’s a sample just short of 40 seconds, oh yes! It has begun
BandCamp “caps” Free Downloads for Artists and Bands
by Karen W. on Sep.12, 2010, under News
It not really as bad as it sounds, but BandCamp, where we have quite a bit of music available has decided to “cap” the downloads by artists to 500 downloads.
What this means to fans is we can only have a limit of 500 downloads available to download, before we have to “power-up” our account to be able to offer you, our loyal listeners, more free downloads.
But the good news is, is that this system doesn’t come into effect until September 16th, so, you still have until then to stop by our page at BandCamp and download our free albums and tracks.
So please stop by and check out the album that we currently have as free downloads, because on the September 16th we will be changing them to payable downloads, so hurry on over to BandCamp and get them ASAP
Time for a Small Update
by Karen W. on Sep.04, 2010, under News
As most of you know who follow our blog, we are in the process of finishing off our latest album which will be called “Sheep”.
So time is important to us at the moment to get work completed, but I thought it was time just to post up a short blog post to to let you all know that we are still working hard on the new album and so far it is sounding pretty good, if I do say so myself
But in the meantime, if you haven’t got a collection of our music yet, remember you can still download a few freebies at our BandCamp page as well as get your hands on some, very limited, physical CDs from CDBaby.
So thanks to everyone for your support and keep an eye out for more posts and updates from us very soon
Time Keeps Flowing Like A River!
by Karen W. on Aug.21, 2010, under News
It’s amazing how the years go flying by, I mean we are now in 2010 and we started producing music back in the middle of 1997, good God where have the years gone!
Not to say that it hasn’t been all up hill or even down hill, over the years, we’ve changed the style of our music and even completely wrote of one album after finishing it, because we didn’t like any of it, just didn’t sound right.
We even went through a stage of producing a “concept” album which never actually saw the light of day, not many people want an album where each track is between 15 and 40 minutes long, yes we could of broke them down in to sections with track splits, but we didn’t want to do that, you never know we may release that one one day
Even now we are still working on our latest project, or as we like to call it the “Sheep Project”, yes, the album will be called “Sheep”, it still sounds like us, but with a few twists thrown in here and there, just to surprise the listener, now I know your looking forward to hearing that now
So it’s thirteen years since we started, unlucky for some they say, but thirteen is JJ’s lucky number so hopefully this should be a good year for us this year, it has been already, with a a good amount of downloads from both iTunes and our selection of albums on BandCamp (some are even free to download, fancy that). Also the other online stores are selling well.
If we can keep going with our albums and you our loyal fans keep supporting us, then that’s all we need, not the fame, not the fortune (well maybe a little to pay the bills) but the joy of producing music.
Supporting Remergence with Sponsored Tweets
by Karen W. on Jun.07, 2010, under News
I have to admit, it’s hard sometimes to make a bit of money from music, unless you do a specific genre or get a major label to sign you up, it’s quite a challenge.
That’s why we are playing around with Sponsored Tweets on our Twitter @RemBeatZ in a hope that it may help a little and bring in a bit more revenue for us to play around with and help with the producing of our Electronica Music.
So occasionally you will see some tweets like this one:
These Sponsored Tweets are just to help us out, we are not telling you to click on them, but it would be nice
Also if you would like to join us in Sponsored Tweeting then simple click here and sign up
Or if you would like to sponsor a tweet then that’s not a problem just click here to sponsor a tweet from Remergence…

Some info about The Mighty Mighty Green Dragon (GD)
A veteran of vinyl days when DJ used to speak between tracks he quickly tore up the rule book being written by the new breed of mixing DJs. Never one to be governed by genre, TMMGD’s mixes refuse to just be a collection of random tracks thrown together to ensure a full dance floor. No, each mix becomes a work in it’s own right, almost like a symphony of many movements and moods.
Sit back, relax, turn it up and enjoy.
