Trying to get our Twitter Verified With No Success!

A few weeks ago we contacted Twitter in the hope that they would verify our account in the hope that it wouldn’t get confused with another another Twitter account that has use the Remergence name.
As you may now @RemBeatZ is the official Twitter for Remergence and @RemergenceNews is the twitter for official news only, but our name has already been used on twitter and that is why we had to go with the @RemBeatZ account.
So after contacting Twitter and explaining that some of our fans are getting a little confused and that we would like them to verify @RemBeatZ as the official Remergence Twitter we got the following response.
Your account verification request has been declined.
Unfortunately we found some problems with your verification request. If you are a business, go to your Business Center page for more information.
We followed all of Twitters guidelines, giving them the official website along with adding the twitter code to the site so that they could see that we run it etc. But NO!
So this is our way of letting all our fans know about the official Twitter for Remergence and thanks a lot Twitter for not even giving us a reasonable reason for verifying our account!
Hey Karen, I've had a few sign up problems with Twitter myself. I didn't bother calling them because I didnt expect to get any help. I just kept on trying to register using different email address and finally it worked for me. My recent post About Us
HI there, it wasn't the problem of registering a Twitter account, it's the problem with getting it Verified to show that our Twitter is indeed the official one for our band ;)
It seems to me that if the actual Twitter staff hasn't heard of you, then you're not worthy of verification... PFFT.... You have to be Kevin Spacey, Oprah, or NASA to get verified. .-= Doubledown Tandino´s last blog ..Become Your Avatar... =-.

Hi Karen, i made the verification process two weeks ago JUST FOR FUN :) I got the exact same E-mail response like you. It's really like they write on the verify-FAQ-website only celebrities or important public persons (politicians and so on :)). Wow I guess if you were some WEB CELEB that worked at apple years ago or some other over rated GEEK you would of been approved :) No worries .-= John Sullivan´s last blog ..What is your best post to date ? =-.
Maybe when we are famous like Lily Allen or Stephen Fry we may get Verified, but we're not holding our breaths!
